CFA

In the recent past, I've been feeling a bit empty. Felt like doing something useful. Looking for something worth to put me in.

I noticed, the accounts manager in my office was unusually happy on Wednesday last week. On deliberation, she shared that she scored high percentile in the first year of CFA exam, i.e., chartered financial analyst. Offlate, me too has sensed the need of having financial acumen. I enquired more about the exam.

She told me that

This is a three year course conducted by CFA institute, US. This is a universally accepted degree for investment professionals. we got to pay 1000 dollars, initially and exam fees for exams. If u get through the exams, the certification is equivalent to a MBA from IIM.

me: How much time you need to prepare this exam?

S: Six months of thorough preparation (an average of 2 to 3 hr daily). U may require a bit more, considering 1. that u don't have an accounts background. 2. you would have lost touch of your academics in the last 7 years.... 3. Chemical engineers are known to be week in balance sheets!!!
(ha ha ha). OK, I think, if u r really interested, U can try december exams.

me: !!! Ok, when to pay and how to pay?

S: Any time. But today is the last date to pay without fine for June and december exams. Can be paid thro' a credit card online; I had just paid for the second year exam thro' net.

me: Then, open the site again, let me see the site.

She opened the site on the net. I took out my card and paid for the june exams in a jiffy.

oh!! U should have seen her face then.

To decide and pay 55K for a 3 yr course, that too of a perfectly contrasting subject of study in approximately half a minute of time, !!! She gasped, a best of luck to me.

Buddy, I got to studdy!!!!!!!
